Elements and Principles of Art

  Description: For this assignment, we had to take pictures of the elements and principles of Art/design. We were then asked to create a presentation or a class activity (Kahoot or matching game) with a partner to inform our classmates and future students.   The Dot by Peter Reynolds is a good story to share with students because it gives a good message of everyone can be an artist. Even if you say you're not very good at art but art can be just about anything. The dot project allows students to have creative freedom and to have some fun with watercolors, crayons, markers, and oil pastels. First, you're going to take a coffee filter and cut it into any shape, can leave it as a circle, or make a snowflake. Second, you're going to lay the coffee filter on a piece of aluminum foil, take a white crayon, and start drawing a design. You can also use markers and oil pastels to make your design. Lastly, you're going to take watercolor paint and paint your dot. Make sure to use colors that mix well together and do not make brown. I made a heart and wrote have courage and be kind.
